OUR MISSION

The Armed Forces Dungeon League is the world's largest esports tournament organizer for the international military community.
The AFDL transcends borders by welcoming participants from a growing number of allied nations. Our team-based, family-friendly competitions are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level or ability. By focusing on games that offer a broad range of participation,  including adaptive options for players with disabilities, we ensure that all veterans and service members have a chance to compete and connect.

Unlike most military esports events, which are exclusive to either active duty or veterans, we welcome participants from all stages of military service. By engaging service members, veterans, and reservists together, we bridge the gap between currently serving and post-service communities.

For us, video games are more than entertainment—they’re a tool for recovery, community, and personal growth, fostering a truly inclusive environment where every player can thrive.

PLAYER TESTIMONIALS

“The AFDL gives veterans a place to connect with each other through shared joy instead of shared trauma.  Many veteran groups focus on hardships or trauma, but few connect through shared activities of enjoyment”

William Sullivan (SFC, USA (Ret))
“I have been playing WoW for almost 20 years now and it has been one of the most impactful things in my life. My dad and I came to bond growing up raiding from Vanilla to MoP, and even my groomsmen at my wedding were people I met through the game. Competing with AFG and in the AFDL has allowed me not only to combine two major factors of my life (the military and gaming) but also have the opportunity to compete alongside as well as against other service members. It has been an amazing experience, and I have met some incredible people.”
